What is expected of volunteers for a virtual CLF?

  • Moderate the individual breakout rooms. Remove people for breaking rules such as Zoom's terms of service and nudity.
    • While we will try and make settings so that everyone is muted by default, if someone unmutes and is intentionally or unintentionally disruptive, muting them again.
    • Locking and unlocking settings based on presenter or room need.
    • Assisting people with basic Zoom issues (for advanced issues, please reach out to either Switch Jake or Asriel unless you are comfortable helping them)

If selected, what do I get for volunteering?

We will provide you with a code to sign up for CLF for free. You also get our eternal gratitude for helping us to make this event happen.

I have questions before I sign up

Great! Please reach out to [email protected]

Important:

As of 4/18/2021, we have all the spots filled. However, please register. If someone backs out we will go through these signups.

We don't NEED your phone number, but it is nice to have if you don't show up.

  • Close is when people start logging off, which will probably be at or around midnight

We don't expect you to be an EXPERT on breakout rooms and zoom moderation, but to at least have a general idea.

It goes without saying, but you will realistically need a computer to perform this function. While some of this CAN be done from a phone, it isn't ideal.
